Looking for something new Everyday
Image taken near Peoples Square, Puxi, Shanghai China.
Beautiful. The colour injected back into this monochrome photo works very nicely.
Yes, one of the best I have ever seen. The washed tones of the cages blend so very well with the black and white. Superb.
Thanks so much George, i’m always in a dilemma when it comes to anything a little bit radicle like this, but I thought it was the right way to go with this particular image
Great use of selective colouring. really works
Cheers Helen, I always appreciate your thoughts
Reblogged this on Oyia Brown.
Radical image, the cages, bicycle and the soft tones, … I am sure the AUDI in the background wasn’t planned but it works as a contrast and contradiction ….. awesome image ….
seeing the caged birds in Asia made me sad.
It is sad but it is a way of life, very difficult to change a culture that has always done this
How long did post-prod take on this one?
About 2 minutes in Silver Efex Pro. I never take much time in post processing, 5 mins max as i like to try and frame the image correctly in my mind before taking the shot. Also, i’m not very good with Photoshop or Silver Efex and don’t have the time to spend enhancing my images
This photo is wonderful! And so are all others on your blog! Loving each one of them deeply~
Thank you so much
